Introduction to you all....I am Laura Uran, my husband is Dick. We have "Samantha" whose new call name is Christa (Samantha for a middle name. : ) Her
registered name (if it clears the registry) will be Vision's Burning Bright. We had many possible names, but for such a young puppy she has a steadiness
and almost a glow about her that is hard to describe. Burning Bright fit her so well. She is a red tri.
We have another black tri aussie, Whippletree Canyon Kestrel (Kes) who is 10 1/2 years. Kes has 56 performance titles and is a wonderful friend and
competitor. She is also a wonderful big sister / mom to Christa.
We will be going for Obedience, agility, and Conformation titles. May try tracking if the ticks are not bad. Despite precautions, tick diseases still happen !
Kes and I have enjoyed tracking.
I haven't done conformation before so keep your fingers crossed!
Our family also includes a Mourning Dove (saved as a 4 to 5 day old baby) named George and a Thoroughbred mare named Lia. My sister, Jeanne Halsey,
lives in town and has Alicia (now Carmen) and they are family too!

We got Christa 11/4 and she is doing very well with operant conditioning (clicker training / shaping). She will gait a bit following a target, give good eye
contact, stack (often with little or no help), sit, down, go to a
mat/ towel or her kennel and remain on it, come even with distractions, ring a bell on the door to go outside, back, and grasp a dumbbell. ( No not just
me...a real dumbbell. : )
She is very lively, but also very responsive, invloved in all we do, and sweet. She is friendly with new people (she meets LOTS of new people right now).
She also is good with other dogs thus far. She is a quick learner.

Christa's first time in the Conformation ring, she won Reserve Winners Bitch to a 5-point major
out of the 6-9 class, while still intact, April 2009, in OKC at the Indian Territories ASC show.
Look for her in the altered ring before too long.
